Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho's squad is NOT good enough to win league – Alan Brazil

That is the view of talkSPORT presenter and former Manchester United striker Alan Brazil.

Mourinho spent almost £150million in the summer transfer window on three new players.

He brought in Romelu Lukaku from Everton, Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Nemanja Matic from Chelsea.

That took his total spending at United since arriving less than 18 months ago to around £300million.

But Brazil has not seen enough improvement this season to suggest Manchester United can win the league just yet.

“I don’t think he can win the league with that squad,” the Scot said of Jose Mourinho.

“I think he has to buy more, I’m sorry.

“Yeah I do, he can’t win it with that. No, not for me.”

United currently sit second in the Premier League, eight points behind rivals Manchester City.

Mourinho’s side lost their last outing to his former team Chelsea on Sunday 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

They still have to play Man City twice, with the first Manchester derby of the season on December 10.
