Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has a selection dilemma with Rashford and Martial both producing impressive performances.
Rashford started yesterday’s win over Tottenham but Martial, who came on with 20 minutes to go, was the match winner.
With both players performing so well, many are astounded at Mourinho’s decision to keep one of them on the bench.
But the Daily Mail say both could be part of the same Manchester United team when veteran striker Ibrahimovic makes his long-awaited return from injury.
The 36-year-old has been out of action since April with a knee problem.
Many thought he would leave the Red Devils to pursue a new challenge in the MLS or Chinese Super League.
However, Ibrahimovic instead ended up penning a one-year contract extension.
He is expected to return before the end of the year and, when he does, Romelu Lukaku is likely to be given some time off.
And the Daily Mail say that, in order to compensate for Ibrahimovic’s slower style of play, Mourinho may unleash Rashford and Martial.
Meanwhile, Martial yesterday admitted that he would love to start more often.
“I want to play,” the France international told Sky Sports.
“I don’t want to be on the bench but Rashford played well too so the manager tries to give us a chance.”
