Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has five stars from the Premier League on his January wish list to bolster his squad.
Perez has sought out young talent as he looks to build a Galactico team rather than buy one.
Some of Spain’s brightest stars are amongst their ranks, including Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos, Jesus Vallejo and Marco Llorente.
But Asensio is the only one so far to emerge as a potential world-class star.
And Perez is said to be running out of patience, and, according to Diario Gol, is preparing to raid the Premier League for one of the five stars in January.
His shortlist includes Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Manchester United’s Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Liverpool’s Emre Can.

Luke Shaw will reject the chance to join Fenerbahce in January and stay to fight for his place at Manchester United.
The England left-back has yet to start this season but may be allowed to leave if suitable offers arrive.
However, Shaw, 22, is not believed to be tempted by a move to Turkey.
The Daily Mail say the full-back is ready to fight for his place at Old Trafford and will try to win over Jose Mourinho.
United legend Roy Keane has defended his recent criticism of Liverpool after their victory over Maribor in the Champions League.
“It was tongue in cheek,” he said ahead of Republic of Ireland’s play-off clash with Denmark on Saturday.
“Anyone who has ever spoken to me about football will tell you the huge respect I have for Liverpool.
“I grew up watching them in the 80s winning leagues every year.
“My comments were tongue in cheek and hopefully people will see it that way. People should lighten up a little.”
