The Spanish giants have apparently placed Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham on high alert, ahead of the January transfer window.
The boardroom at the Bernabeu have become increasingly frustrated with the Welshman’s injuries.
Bale has suffered with a persistent calf problem since moving to Madrid for £85million in 2013.
And his latest setback – a thigh injury picked up in training on Friday – has proved to be the final straw.
Bale has won three Champions Leagues, one La Liga title and the Copa del Rey during his time in Madrid.
But Los Blancos are now open to offers for their winger, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Jose Mourinho was heavily linked with Bale in the summer but a move failed to materialise.
And the report suggests that the Red Devils will be the favourites to land the 28-year-old when the transfer window reopens.
However, long-term Madrid target David de Gea could be mentioned in any transfer discussions.
But Mourinho will be keen to keep hold of his number one, especially if they are to try and challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title.
