Arsenal legend Thierry Henry mocked Romelu Lukaku after Jose Mourinho prevented the striker from taking Manchester United‘s second-half penalty against Benfica.

Lukaku flew out of the blocks following his £75million move to Old Trafford in the summer, but the 24-year-old has failed to find the net in his last six appearances for the Red Devils.

The Belgian forward got the perfect chance to break his duck during United’s 2-0 defeat of Benfica in midweek as the Premier League giants were awarded a spot-kick in the 78th minute.

However, Lukaku had the ball ripped from him after Jose Mourinho instructed Daley Blind to take the penalty during the Champions League encounter.

Henry cheekily raised the moment during an interview with the attacker ahead of United’s clash with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

‘All the very best. And…if there is a penalty, who is taking it?’ Henry joked at the end of their chat.

The former Chelsea and Everton man will be desperate to get back to scoring ways as Mourinho’s men travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend.
