Manchester United are planning a £50 million bid for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose in January, according to reports.
The Sun claims that Jose Mourinho wants to sign a permanent left-back after using Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young in that position this season.
And Rose, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Manchester City, is the player Mourinho is targeting to solve his problem position.
Rose has been sidelined since the end of January due to a knee injury and is yet to feature for Tottenham this season.
But the 27-year-old is close to making a comeback after returning to training earlier this week.
The Sun also claims that United’s move for Rose will spell the end of Luke Shaw’s time at Old Trafford.
Shaw has played just 45 minutes of first-team football this season after coming on as a half-time substitute against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup on September 20.
United have played three games since then but Shaw hasn’t even made the bench.
