Manchester United will wait until the last minute before making decisions on Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford’s availability for Saturday’s game against Tottenham.
The pair picked up knocks in United’s 2-0 win against Swansea City in the League Cup on Tuesday night and were taken off with 20 minutes remaining.
Rashford pulled up after a sprint and was removed after complaining about a tightness in his hamstring, while Herrera sustained a knock to his ankle.
United host Spurs in Saturday’s early kick-off and can ill afford more absentees with Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini already on the sidelines.
Mourinho will wait until late on Friday before making a decision on the pair but losing Herrera would leave United with Nemanja Matic as the club’s only fit central midfielder.
Phil Jones is set to be fit for the clash and could potentially be moved into midfield, with Eric Bailly also set to return.
